Essential storage
VMatch sets an essential vmatch_refresh session cookie so that you can remain signed in. It is HttpOnly, Secure on the production site, SameSite=Strict, and limited to authentication requests. Page scripts cannot read it. The shorter-lived access token is kept only in page memory and is not stored in local storage.
When you choose social sign-in, VMatch temporarily sets a provider-specific vmatch_oauth_state_* cookie. It is HttpOnly, Secure on the production site, SameSite=Lax, limited to that provider's callback path, and expires after 10 minutes. It binds the browser to the sign-in request and helps prevent forged callbacks; it is deleted when the provider returns.
Limited call-safety and consent state may also be stored in your browser so that you do not have to repeat completed steps. The first-visit gender choice is stored locally under video-match-registration-gender so it can be carried into account registration. The selected Everyone, Women, or Men matching filter is stored under video-match-matching-gender and is also saved to the signed-in profile. Essential storage is necessary for features you request and cannot be disabled through the analytics preference control.
Optional analytics
| Provider | Purpose | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Understand page usage and feature performance | Page views, sign-up, matching, call connection, and safety-feature events |
We do not intentionally send message text, email addresses, names, call IDs, or other direct identifiers to Google Analytics. Analytics data may be processed by Google outside your country under the operator's applicable transfer arrangements.
Your choice
You can accept or reject analytics without losing access to VMatch. You may change your choice at any time. Withdrawing analytics consent prevents future analytics collection from this browser and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies.
