Solve common video chat problems.

Use these checks for camera, microphone, matching, connection, account, and safety issues. Never email a password, authenticator code, or identity document.

The camera or microphone does not work

  1. Open the browser's site permissions for vmatch.live.
  2. Allow the intended camera and microphone.
  3. Close other applications that may be using the device.
  4. Reload the page and start again.
  5. If the device still fails, restart the browser or operating system.

Matching takes too long

Matching depends on another eligible user being available. Leave and rejoin the queue after a short wait. A restricted account, incomplete safety confirmation, or unstable connection can also prevent a match.

A call will not connect or keeps dropping

  • Try a stable Wi-Fi or wired connection.
  • Temporarily disable a VPN or strict network filter.
  • Update the browser and avoid private modes that block required storage.
  • Check whether a workplace, school, or hotel network blocks WebRTC or TURN traffic.
  • End the call and retry rather than repeatedly refreshing during connection setup.

Sign-in or account problems

Confirm the email address and password, then wait before retrying after several failures because authentication is rate-limited. Account data export and permanent deletion are available under Account & Privacy after sign-in.

For a request you cannot complete in the product, follow Privacy Requests.

Report or block someone

During a call, open Safety to report or block the other person. End the call immediately if you feel unsafe. Reports should describe observable behavior and should not include unrelated sensitive information.

If there is an immediate threat of physical harm, contact the appropriate local emergency service. VMatch email is not an emergency channel.
